New catalysts for {stereo ; regio ; chemo}selective reactions

Announcements

JUNE 2023 • Our group is seeking 1 or 2 (depending on a funding announcement coming soon) M.Sc. students to work on collaborative projects that involve our laboratory: one in the area of designing new cell labelling reagents (see an initial publication here) and one in the area of catalyst development for biomass conversion (see an initial publication here). Any candidates with experience in organic or materials synthesis, catalysis, or detailed analysis in these areas, are encouraged to apply by contacting Prof. Van Humbeck with a brief CV and unofficial undergraduate transcripts (email address can be found under the Contact Us tab at the top right of the page). Relevant experience can be gathered either in a university setting or in the workplace. The University of Calgary requirements for admission to the Faculty of Graduate studies, and requirements for English proficiency can be found here.
